The zSnapper portable system is a versatile solution for a variety of applications. This 3D scanner is not only suited for point-and-click 3D snapshots from one single viewing direction but multiple views of the same object can be merged automatically.
Advanced technology guarantees that all snapshots fit together instantly and a real-time display of the merged 3D model can be observed during recording.
   
  Hand-held operation is the typical zSnapper portable mode for medical scanning applications while object scanning takes advantage form a freely movable turntable for combining the multiple perspective views. The 3D model raw data are exported into ASCII text files and can be read by common point cloud processing software.
ViALUX has implemented the AAOP format of cylindrical coordinates for scanning body parts in orthotics and prosthetics. Another option is the STL-export.
